コミノ島ダイビング／Diving at Comino Island

５月８日、コミノ島でダイビング！天気は最高！！海は鏡の様に穏やかで、船酔いも無し。１本目のダイビングは沈船、P３１（パトロール船）。まだ沈められてから２年ほどの若い沈船。それでも魚影がだいぶ濃くなってきました。２本目はサンタマリア・ケーブ。砂地でまず魚達と戯れ、その後ゴツゴツしたケーブの中を右へ左へとくぐり抜け。
とっても楽しいダイビングでした。
8th of May, we went diving at Comino Island. The weather was GREAT! The sea was very calm and no
sea sicks. 1st dive was at the wreck, P31(Navy's patrol boat). It was sunk about 2 years ago. It is still a young wreck, but it has started becoming a home for lots of fish. 2nd divev was at the St.Maria Cave. We played with schools of fish at the sandy area and started going through rough rocky caves here and there.
It was great divings.

お気に入りの変な生き物 My favorite strange creature

お気に入りの変なヤツの写真を見つけました。マルタの海で良く見られるヤツなのですが、触ると、フサフサの部分がピョコッと引っ込んで、茎だけになってしまうのだ。見ると触らずにはいられない！
I found the photo of my favorite strange creature. You can find it everywhere in the Maltese sea. If you touch it, the fluffy feathers get sucked into the stem. When I find them, I cannnot help touching every one of them!

マルタ大学Dr.ガレアによる、地震・津波に関するレクチャー

１９日にマルタ大学で、Dr.ガレアにより、地震・津波のレクチャーがありました。これは、日本マルタ友好協会の働きかけによる、チャリティ・イベント。地中海地域でも、津波の危険がある事にビックリ。太平洋ほど大型の津波ではないけれど、過去に被害を与えた歴史があることを、初めて知りました。

Dr.Galea in Malta University gave a lecture about Tsunami and Earthquake. It was organized by the Japan Malta Friendship Association as a part of the fund raising charity event. It was a surprise to know that there was a possibility of Tsunami in the Mediterranean. It wouldn’t be as huge as ones in the Pacific Ocean; however, it had destroyed some areas in the past. It was the first time to know such facts.

マルタ島、ナイトダイブ，Night Dive in Malta

４月１７日（日）、久々のナイトダイブに出発！美しい夕日を背に準備。スパニッシュ・ダンサーなどなど盛りだくさん。初ナイトダイビングのダイバーも、その面白さを堪能。他のインストラクターと早めに終えるダイバーもいる中、経験豊富なダイバー２人に付き合うこと５０分。さすがに寒くなったけど、最高でした！！
We went out for a Night Dive on 17th of April. We saw a beautiful sunset while we were getting ready for the dive. We saw Spanish Dansers, Moray eels, etc. It was FANTASTIC!! Others finished a bit earlier with another instructor, but 2 experienced divers remained with me for good 50 minutes. Wow. It was long and cold, but GREAT!!

PADI フォーラム in マルタ

今日はダイブワイズ(Divewise)の皆で、PADIのフォーラムに参加して、少々お勉強。幾つかのプログラムが変更となる予定なので、知識のアップデートをしました。

I went to the PADI Forum with other Divewise instructors to study a bit. A few programs will be changed, so we've updated our knowledge.

マルタ、ゴゾ島で、テクニカル・ダイビング Tech Diving in Gozo Island, Malta

今日は久々にテクニカル・ダイビング！プランは下記の通り。I joined to a Tech diving today. It's been a while since I did last. The plan is as followed.

岩場の地形が面白く、穴を見つける度に除いてみて、魚もボチボチいました。
リブリーダー・ダイバー達は、同じエントリーからケーブ・ダイビングへ。
次回はそっちへ行ってみよう！と密かに決心。
Rocky landscape was interesting. We checked every hole and small cave. There were some fish around as well. Rebreather divers went for a cave dive. I shall go there for the next dive.
