沈船ファルード、Um El Faroud

沈船ファルードへ行きました。とても見応えのある沈船です。魚影も濃くて、とても良かったです。
We went to the wreck, Um El Faroud. Very interesting wreck. Lots of fish were there. Great diving.

EFR講習、私の分身？！…EFR course, Mini-Me?!

EFRの講習を行いました。CPRの練習で使用されるのは、「リトル・アン」。あれ？！これって、私の分身？！
I gave an EFR lesson today, using "Little Anne" for CPR practice. Ooops! Is it Mini-Me?!

ダイブワイズのアイドル、Jack - Idol of Divewise, Jack

マルタ島ダイブワイズのアイドル、ジャック。テーブルの輪にお行儀良く加わりました。
Idol of Divewise in Malta, he joined to the table in such a good manner.

マルタ島で強風！ダイビングにはちょっとキツイですー！Strong winds in Malta! A bit tough for diving!

８月１１日のマルタは、ちょっと強風気味。波が高めで透明度がいつもより悪くて、チョーーっとダイビングにはキツーい日でした。
でも、ナビゲーションのトレーニングには、モッテコイの日でした。(^o^)
11th of August, it was a windy day in Malta. Waves a bit high and visibitility wasn't as good as always. It was a bit tough day for diving.
It, however, was a perfect condition for Navigagtion training!!

マルタ島ドラゴナラ、ナイトダイビング Night Diving at Dragonara, Malta

８月９日も天候良好。ナイトダイビングしました。
インストラクターは私とエド。ダイバーは４人。そのうち２人は、アドバンス・オープン・ウォーター・ダイバーのコースとして、ナイトダイビング初挑戦。
日没前から用意して、出発。
魚の群れやタコ、カニ、ヒトデなど、夜の景色はまた昼とは違って面白いのです。
１時間ほどのダイビングを終えて、みな大満足でした。
Good weather again on 9th of August. We had a Night Diving. Ed and me as instructors with 4 divers. 2 of them did the night diving for the first time as a part of Advanced Open Water Diver Course.
We got ready before the sunset, and off we go!
Schools of fish, octopus, crubs, starfish, etc... Night view is very different from day time and very interesting. Dive time was about 1 hour and everybody was very happy!!

ゴゾ島ダイビング

８月６日は３人のダイバーさんと、ゴゾ島へダイビング！朝早い出発だったけれど、相変わらず天気も良く、ダイビング日和。フェリーでゴゾ島へ渡り、まずはブルーホールでダイビング。
August 6, 3 divers and I went to dive in Gozo. It was early start, but the condition was just perfect for diving. We went to Gozo by ferry boat and had 1st dive at Blue Hole.

その後、インランド・シーで２本ダイビング。
After that, 2 dives at the Inland Sea.

透明度も良く、魚影も思いのほか濃くて、とっても楽しいダイビングでした！
Wonderful visibility and schools of fish. Great diving we had.

と、ところが、「さあ帰ろう！」と思ったら、軽トラの右後輪２つの間に大きな岩が食い込み、走ればタイヤをダメにするほどの大きさ。それを取り除こうとエンジンを止めたら、今度はバッテリーがX。
岩は何とか取れたものの、誰もジャンパーケーブルを持っておらず、マルタのJAFみたいな所へSOS。
終わりよければ…のはずが、とんだ事になっちゃいました。
皆さん、ごめんなさーい！！
When we were about to go home, we found a huge rock inbetween the right rear tires and couldn't move. When I stopped the engine in order to take the rock off, the battery was gone and the engine never started again... We managed to take the rock off; however, nobody had a jamper cable for the battery. We called the help. Well, what a trouble at the very end... I'm very very very sorry, my dear divers.

マルタへ戻りました！

マルタへやっと戻りました！
マルタがヨーロッパの一員となっちゃって、就労ビザなどの許可を取るのが、なかなか難しくなってしまい、本当に待たされました。
でもついに完了！
戻ってから、日本人ダイバーさん達にも「待ってましたー」と声をかけてもらい、ウルウル。
今週予約されてたダイバーさん達の到着にも間に合い、気合十分でダイビングしてます！
